Celebrate the long days with a long ride!
The Marin County Bicycle Coalition is proud to announce the return of the Solstice Dirt Fondo, an all-day mountain bike ride on Saturday, July 15, 2017. We encourage bicyclists of all skill levels to join us on a dirt tour of the trails and fire roads of central and west Marin, starting and ending at the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame! This Dirt Fondo is limited to 150 riders and includes amazing support, great swag and a top notch BBQ social at the end.
The 39 mile ride starts in Fairfax and includes trails at Tamarancho and on Marin County Open Space perserves. While not everyone is prepared to ride such a distance, we encourage all interested parties to give it a try. There will be shorter route options of 10 and 25 miles. And you have most of the day to complete the ride.
There will be great support along the journey, thanks to Mike’s Bikes, Bay Area Ridge Trail and Marin Bikes including well-stocked energizer stations, ride leaders and sweeps, SAG and mechanics to help with minor repairs.
